The window frame size is recommended to be 1/2" less than rough opening

The 7 white PVC barn sash windows arrived within 3 weeks, exactly as I had ordered and in perfect condition. I have not yet installed them, but anticipate an easy replacement of my old wooden ones.

Quality made window. Heavier weight than anticipated. Great price. I had searched everywhere for a window in the size I needed, and couldn't find it. Fast processing and delivery for being custom made size.

Wood frame replacement sash. Sizing is just right but the panes are not glazed and 1/2 slip about 1/16th of an inch in either direction. An extra coat of paint seems to be an ok fix for now but only time will tell if air and water will penetrate the unexpected gap.

Windows were much better quality than I had expected, even though I'd read many reviews saying the same thing. Highly recommend this product and the price is very reasonable for custom windows
Three things I might mention:
1. The packing could possibly be better, but nothing was broken
2. I ordered five windows, five shipped, but only four received. I contacted AW and will resolve with a CSR
3. I believe the carrier is the problem - not American Windows. One window showed up, then a couple days later two more, then another day or two later the fourth showed up. Still waiting for the 5th window and getting concerned since it's been about 3 days since the last one was received
