The window frame size is recommended to be 1/2" less than rough opening

Our barn replacement windows were easy to order and were received in perfect condition. They were exactly what we were looking for and at a reasonable price!

I've been looking for years to replace my barn windows. The big box stores windows are way too much money for a barn. American windows offer a custom fit with a reasonable cost and they look great. I'll be ordering the rest next spring!

We had our barn windows blown out in a storm and were shocked at the prices local window dealers were charging for replacements. One friend asked if those windows were made of gold :o)
After days of scouring the internet for *someone* who could help us without gouging a couple of farmers and could provide the sizes we needed, we did a little dance of joy when we found American Windows!
The prices were fair and we could match the other wood windows that were left.
They do come without paint and I think we might have to caulk them, but we can handle that!
I also want to thank A.W. for being very kind to send us replacement glass for a few panes that were broken during shipping. There were big red stickers with instructions on them that we somehow managed to miss. Despite our goof, A.W. was very kind to help us resolve a shipping problem.
We'll be back for sure!!!

No more glazing windows for me ,no more painting sashes for me , I would try and do 3 or 4 sashes a year , my time is worth more to me and they look better than any that I have done in the past

Went to several local window stores to order odd sized replacement sash window for old house. No-one would help me order a simple sash window without a contractor to represent me. Easy to use online ordering. Allows for custom sizes. Great price. Great quality. Well packed and shipped. Received within expected timeframe promised. Will definitely use again.

THESE WINDOWS REPLACED 100 YEAR OLD WOODEN WINDOWS IN I LARGE SHED THAT WERE DETERIORATED BEYOND REPAIR. THESE NEW VINYL WINDOWS WERE EASY TO INSTALL AND LOOK JUST GREAT. WE JUST PLACED AN ORDER FOR MORE WINDOWS FOR THE GARAGE AND ANOTHER OUTBUILDING. THANKS FOR A GREAT PRODUCT.
