I ordered the hinged hopper windows to I could upgrade the old cracked wooden framed one I had in basement. I ordered the custom built windows which came to exact size I ordered. Installation was quick. Liked the fact that you can remove window and just install frame first. The first 2 windows I installed on opposite side of house in which wind driven rain usually hits. Big improvement appearance wise from old windows. Just installed window on side that rain would hit but it's been sunny since installation. Will update review to see how well it holds up and how water tight the window is when a driving rain hits it.

Well made, easy to install.100% better than my old, crappy, single pane post WW2 windows that were well past their prime. A huge difference! Greatly reduced in noise and drafts.

The vinyl frame is a bit thin, but after installation as a replacement basement window, its not going anywhere, so that's not really critical. The custom size was perfect, and the window looks great. Delivery was three weeks, as promised. The choice of awning vs. hopper orientation is a plus. The price for a custom size was very good. Overall, highly recommend it

Replacing old style basement tilt in metal framed single pane glass windows. Size of replacement right on, a little shimming, couple of Tapcon screws for security, caulk and good to go. Only issue was fairly minor, asked for nail fins to be removed at factory and the window arrived with fins in place. Easy to cut off.

This window is an outstanding value. Workmanship is excellent. Installation was a snap. I would not hesitate to buy from American again.

I ordered this hopper window to replace a cold and drafty steel framed basement casement window. The window fit the frame perfectly but because of the way the original frame is made that provides the fullest view possible with a narrow frame, the window will not open without cutting down the steel frame. I will use this window elsewhere and I have already ordered another window which is a slider.

There aren't many options for custom sized windows that are reasonably priced. I ordered 3 for my basement and have not installed them yet but they appear to fit perfectly and the window operation looks good. I don't anticipate any issues. Two of the screens came with the fabric a little loose and the company replaced them ASAP. Very happy so far.

it is a nice window, easy to install and has stopped the draft that the old window had. Haven't had it in long enough to form a total opinion but it looks good and so far it is fine.
