I called and asked lots of questions before ordering, and they were very helpful. Order arrived in the estimated time frame. The windows are very carefully packed for shipping. Installation was easy, and all of the widows operate flawlessly.
My only suggestion would be to offer a privacy glass option for bathrooms.

Custom window size was a perfect fit. I was not able to find a standard window at the big box stores that I could use to replace the existing.
Ordered the window to my custom size and before you know it the windows were here and I had to problems installing them.

Not only are these custom products great for fixed openings that can not be changed to meet standard window sizes the service from American window is the best. This was my second order and I will be back again. This time the delivery came in a crushed box and broken and American window instantly replaced it and I had a new one in less than a week later. Great job, Thanks.

I loved the price and free delivery. If installing the window where it opens UP. Then the tension design isnt very great. The little screws and plastic piece used to increase and decrease the window tension is very brittle. The window doesnt really stay up and I'm afraid if I tighten the screws anymore they will break the plastic. These are for my basement so I can make a hook to keep them open so no big deal. I do like the windows and would buy again

my new basement windows fit perfectly in my cellar. the half inch deduction allowed me to use shims, thin backer rod and caulking to secure them. i have no more water in the basement. the screens are easy to remove for the up coming winter months. thank you DJ.

Solid quality windows Easy to install, perfect fit and nice looking. Really like screens and choice of how the windows open. Very timely delivery. Recommend that the closing handle be redesigned. The handles are too small, not very substantial and difficult to use. A redesign of the handles woul make the windows a five star product

I have a 125 yo home I just bought last year and it still had the original basement windows. Wood frame with a deep well and just a window you remove to open it. I have had plastic covers over them to stop water from coming in the wells with holes drilled into them for air flow. I ordered custom sizes. Odd size windows and not available for a reasonable price locally. They work great for the basement. I removed the nail fin myself and direct set them into the new window openings with repair mortar (and other mods from a great DYI video online). Close very tight. We have had an unreasonable amount of rain this year and they were tested the next day by a downpour. No leaks. Neighbors are impressed with how they look and it totally changed the appearance of my basement. Only draw back (which is minor since they are for the basement) is that the miter cuts aren't quite flush (although sealed well and the frame is square) and the gasket inside could have been trimmed better for aesthetics. The plastic window handle is on the cheap side (as many have stated) but overall a great window for my needs.
