I own a 1927 "Coronell", Sears Honor-Bilt home in Cape Charles, Va. that was in desperate need of replacement basement windows. I wanted windows that were functional and didn't take away from the charm and character on my home.
I purchased one custom sized gliding window (without fins) to make sure it would work properly in my rough opening. I was very impressed with the quality of the window and how easy it was to install.
I used spray foam insulation and quick-set mortar to install my window and it is solid as a rock. If you are installing them yourself, I would highly recommend searching the internet for excellent tips on basement window replacement. What the name of that site where people post their own videos? You.......something?
I now have three more custom glider windows on order and I am awaiting their delivery so I can finish my basement window project. American Window Products currently has about two-week turn around on custom order windows and the packaging and shipping were excellent.
I would highly recommend American Window Products. Their products are well made and I found their prices are very competitive locally and online.

Ordered three insulated basement windows in custom sizes and had them shipped to Canada. Ordering and shipping were fast and easy - windows were packed very well. I had a very hard time finding windows small enough for the openings in my nearly 170 year old stone foundation, and was happy to find this site. The windows themselves seem to be well built overall, although the sashes seem a little loose in the frames. They slide very well. I mortared them into the foundation without wood to avoid any rot down the road. The real test will come when the cold weather arrives. Big upgrade to my basement in any case. Would likely order again.

Replacement window fit perfectly in my rough opening, super fast delivery, Highly recommend hard to find a window in the right size so this was great

very nicely made. fast delivery!!! close tolerances ... so close that at times it is hard to lock the window properly. Otherwise I really like the window and would re-purchase.

I was looking to replace my old basement windows, but now of the local dealers didn't have the right size. I was able to order the 4 windows from American windows and have them custom made to fit the openings. They arrived just as ordered and fit perfectly in the openings. I was able to install windows and trim in no time at all. About an hour a window to remove old and install new. The price was in the ballpark with buying windows at local dealers and the shipping was free and I didn't pay any sales tax which made it cheaper then buying local. I will use them again if the need arises.
